Frequently Asked Questions
If the program is so new, how do I know this will really work?
While the program itself is new, the strategies and tactics have been proven with prior successful campaigns. The Crowdfunding Cohort itself is a new platform, but with every new platform early adopters tend to gain extra benefit for being some of the first on it. Early members of the cohort will be critical in continuing to build and bolster our resources and services, and as a result, some of the content later members will have access to will be directly from live classes and sessions with early members. Additionally, if we’re not yet at capacity, that’s more potential attention to your individual project's needs.
How do I know this will be worth my investment of time and money?
We’re confident that the value of what you’re getting in here is well worth your time and money. The strategies, tactics, and information you'll be exposed to are all things that Tom has used in the field previously to launch projects successfully. As for the quality of the other members in the cohort, they've each made their own personal time and financial commitments required to take their projects seriously and to bring them to life. This is a team you want to be a part of.
Wouldn't a one-on-one crowdfunding consultant be better?
It could be, but not definitely. If you can afford the high retainers and steep commissions, then we'd likely recommend going that route. Our model is different in that we’re here to work with people that are interested in doing the work themselves. You will learn a ton and be able to take that knowledge with you to future projects. Also, we think that level of skin in the game is critical to the ultimate success of a project - there's nothing like a passionate creator's hustle. We are here for you and your peers. For example, if you need help with a topic that hasn’t been discussed yet or we don't have a resource for, and we think it could help the group as a whole, you can bet we're going to move fast to provide something for you as quickly as possible.
Can't I find tons of crowdfunding information online, for free?
That’s how Tom and many others have done it in the past, but be ready to spend lots of additional time outside of your direct preparation efforts simply researching the best practices and determining which options are truly the best. There’s lots out there, and much of it is great, but there’s a lot of mediocre stuff out there as well crowding the space. We've organized the process for you over the course of three years, and our goal is to give you what you need and when you need it so that you are constantly making real progress on your project's launch.
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
While the typical crowdfunding process takes several months, we've chosen to keep the subscription set up as a month-to-month model because - things happen. While participating in the cohort, you may discover that there isn't any demand for your product or passion project, you might not be able to commit as much time to your campaign as you need to, or maybe the program just isn't a good fit for you. Things happen and we get it. As soon as you are no longer getting value from what the cohort has to offer, just cancel your subscription. It is also important to note that there are no guarantees in crowdfunding. A project can fail to fund for a multitude of reasons, some of which may or may not be in your control. If for some reason your project does not succeed, we know that the strategies and tactics you learn with us will be immensely useful for your future projects, crowdfunding or not. For these reasons, we don't offer refunds. If you have any concerns, please contact us.
